Discover Dartmoor, the beautiful city of Exeter, the stunning Devon and North Cornwall coastlines and walk on sandy beaches or rugged cliffs.
VISIT Hatherleigh, Tavistock, Castle Drogo or Lydford Gorge.
RIDE the Heritage railway line to Exeter or take the Launceston steam railway.

FISHING - You will find coarse fishing lakes at Alder, Anglers Paradise, Hidden Valley, Legge, South Reed and Spire's. River fishing available on the Tamar, Tavy, Taw and & Torridge. Closest sea fishing can be arranged from Bideford.
WALK your preferred route through miles of Moorland, granite tors and heather covered hillsides visiting quaint pubs and cafés along the way. You can also follow quiet country roads, green lanes, wooded trails and river banks on foot, on a bike or on horseback. To guide you there are a series of marked Ruby Trails and we have a stock of maps and guides for guests to refer to.
CYCLE - The Tarka trail (National Cycle route 27) runs all the way to Torrington and Bideford. Take your own bike or hire locally. We can advise you of where to go and arrange for the hire company to deliver and collect your bikes. The Granite Way is a 12km route linking Okehampton to Lydford. Take in views of Meldon Viaduct, the Meldon Lake, Okehampton Castle and the moors.
Exbourne is nestled in beautiful countryside and in between picturesque villages. Many of the local villages have fine pubs, serving an excellent range of appetising food. After a day exploring treat yourself to a meal out. We can provide you with suggestions for eating in a different pub or restaurant within a 15 minute drive every night of your stay if you wish.
